Clannad review (Anime)

If there's any anime out there that could make you shed a tear or even ask God "Why is that girl bedridden?" , It's Clannad (Clah-Nud) alright . With rich stories and point-of-crying-moment , this anime is definitely worth watching.

The Story of Clannad follows exactly like the game with the main character Okazaki Tomoya going on different route to conquer the girl (Just like Keima-kun). There is also an OVA where Okazaki end up with Tomoyo and Kyou Fujibayashi (Clannad: After Story). The first episode of Clannad shows us a black and white world . No its not because you're colour blind, the setting is set that way to represent the life of Okazaki before he met Nagisa. If you ask me, the creator of this anime really did a good job on making the scene looks alive and makes you feel like you're part of it.

Lets face it . An anime with 'feels' is nothing without a soundtrack that could pierce your heart and make you say "Best anime soundtrack ever" . Clannad by far have the best soundtrack. One of them "Sora Ni Hikaru" is the best one. Its a mixture of sadness and sorrow that could easily make someone drop a tear if they hear it .

There is so much to say about this anime . The character development is pretty good considering this is a visual novel . The story in season 1 focuses on Tomoya going on a different route to score different girl(thankfully it didn't turned out like yosuga) but season 2 focuses entirely on Tomoya and Nagisa's relationship . So in a way, season 2 is much more in-depth and had much more story in it . Furthermore, the 'orb' makes a return as an urban legend depicting it as a light that manifest when people do good thing . So the visual novel game mechanic applied in this world . huh.

While Clannad have been compared to Angel beats and Anohana in terms of feels , nothing could ever beat it on its overall experience. Clannad story might be confusing at first for first time people who just got into the anime world, but for some veteran, its the best of its kind. All in all, Clannad is an anime similar to real life love . If you're thinking watching it , or just want to see what the hype is about, then go and watch it . xD
